The older established blocks around Raceview State School, along Wildey Street and into Whitehill Road, were on the run before some of today’s parents were dropping kids at the school gate. Plenty of those properties are still on the same fortnight they started on.
The work here leans on the ride-on for the bigger family blocks and the walk-behind for the tighter ones. Long-tenure clients know what they’re getting visit to visit, and new owners moving into the older streets usually pick up where the previous fortnight left off.
Cascade Street And The Retirement Village Pocket
Cascade Street carries both the residential pocket and Cascade Gardens Retirement Village itself. The houses on the street are on the regular run, and so are the village unit yards.
Unit mowing at Cascade Gardens is a different job to a standard residential mow. Smaller lawn area, tighter access between blocks, more attention to garden bed edges. Invoicing usually goes to whoever’s organising the booking, which is often an adult child or grandchild rather than the resident themselves.
The Long-Tenure Family Streets Between
A lot of the fortnightly run sits through the heart of the suburb, between the school streets and the Cunningham Highway edge. Plenty of those addresses have been on the same fortnight long enough that I’ve watched the kids grow up and start needing their own places mowed.
Multi-generational household setups are common here. A regular fortnight that started at one address often picks up a sibling, an adult child or a parent’s place a few streets over.

Self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome on the run. NDIA-managed and agency-managed plans aren’t accepted at this stage.
Insurance-funded yards through WorkCover or NIISQ also welcome on the run.
