I’m Aurey O’Keefe, owner of AOK Mowing. Based in neighbouring Redbank Plains, I’ve been mowing Collingwood Park every week since 2017.

The older homes along Collingwood Drive, the newer streets around Woodlinks State School, the new Collingwood Park State Secondary College. I’ve mowed lawns through all of it.

Collingwood Park is one of the more established suburbs in the Ipswich area. Most homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s on decent sized blocks, which means bigger lawns and thicker growth than the newer estates further out.

Around Collingwood Park State School and along Eagle Street and Hannant Street, the larger yards grow fast in the warmer months. Couch and buffalo lawns push runners onto driveways and pathways between visits.

Solid edging is part of every mow here, and larger yards usually need a ride on to get through them efficiently.

Newer Pockets Around Woodlinks State School

The newer sections closer to Woodlinks State School and Collingwood Park Shopping Centre have smaller yards that do well on a fortnightly schedule with a push mower.

Softer turf and tighter blocks mean a different mowing approach to the older streets, but the standard of finish stays the same.

Goodna Creek And Banjo Paterson Park Edges

Properties near Goodna Creek and Banjo Paterson Park stay damp longer after rain. That means edges and fence lines get thick fast, and these parts of the suburb need more attention through the wetter months.

NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants and DVA Household Services clients are regular work across the suburb. Crossing Collingwood Park And The Ipswich Run

Collingwood Park sits between Redbank Plains to the west and Goodna to the east. Both are part of the regular weekly run.

Redbank Plains is home base, covered most days. Goodna sits just across the motorway with its own flood-plain lawn characteristics, and both get covered the same week as Collingwood Park jobs. Working streets in all three suburbs back-to-back on the same day is common.
